Found art Collective - Saturday 16th of July.
With the project space as a base for exploration and collaboration the Found Art Collective will spend the day seeing what they can procure from the local communities waste.

Hackney Wicked Art Festival - 29th, 30th, 31st of July.

Exchange project space will be open to the public between 12 and 5 on Saturday. Please join us in the space to look at the four artists work, see how they have worked alongside local community groups and discuss the benefits and challenges of working as a 'local artist'. Artist Lucy Harrison will be visiting the space to play some music and collect song lyric for her 'lyrics drop box'.

A tour of studios, galleries and spaces that offer interaction, workshops, collaboration, free stuff and fun. Suitable for family groups, grown up kids, adventurer and treasure hunters. Start were you want, stop when you want. See for more detail.
Figure Ground - meeting and making. 2nd August
The artists network Figure ground will be meeting in the space to discuss future residency schemes, make work together and explore collaborative methods with the resident artists.

POST - Private view 1st Sept. 7 till 9

POST Artists will be showcasing the results of their collaborative practice to the local residents and artists of Hackney Wick to highlight this rewarding means of making work. They will meet the artist in residence at the "Exchange" space on Saturday 27th August when they will continue a collaborative exchange which began with four members going to Athens last year and meeting with collaborative art group OgreAttend. Documentation of the show will be sent back to Athens for the next leg of this collaborative fractal.


Symposium - Sunday 11th September.
Ordinary Language
starting at 12pm

The 2nd Landscape symposium will explore the effect and role of Language in art practices. How does language effect our understanding and the social value given to contemporary art? 




The symposium will consist of a series of performative actions that explore language in general life and within some specific art practices, including Oriana Fox's performance and video. There will also be a talk on rhetoric in contemporary performance art from artist writer David Howells.

Collaborations, exchanges, new art and new spaces.
Through out the weekend Exchange Project space will provide an opportunity for you to get involved with artistic exchange.

The space will host a range of participatory events to include; construction workshops, collaborative performance, tea debates, a community gallery, bartering space, and an afternoon of performances. The community gallery will show case the work generated with the local community since June featuring the work of community members alongside the resident artists.
